Queens Park Rangers earned a point away at league leaders West Bromwich Albion in a 1-1 draw at The Hawthorns on Saturday. The result leaves QPR fourth in the Championship table with 12 points from their opening seven games.
Chris Mepham's own goal cancelled out Callum Styles' opener for the hosts. Styles had put West Brom ahead in the 41st minute, finishing from a Felix Horn Myhre assist, before Mepham turned the ball into his own net just three minutes later.
Recent form
The draw extends QPR's unbeaten run to three matches, following a goalless stalemate at Charlton and a 2-1 victory over Cardiff. Their recent form shows two wins, two draws and one loss from the last five outings.
West Brom, who remain top on 14 points, had won their previous two home games. They were without the injured Michael Johnston and Nolan Galves, plus the suspended Brayann Pereira.
Injury list grows
Marti Cifuentes's squad was severely depleted for the trip. The QPR manager was without six first-team players due to injury. Boy Kemper, Ilias Chair, Jimmy Dunne, Karamoko Dembélé, Paul Smyth and Richard Kone were all sidelined. The extent of the absences is detailed on the team's injuries list.
Despite the missing personnel, Rangers created chances, registering 74 total shots across their opening games. Rumarn Burrell, who has two league goals this season, led the line.
For West Brom, Jimmy Morgan has been their standout performer with three goals and three assists. Isaac Price has also been a consistent contributor in midfield.

The point keeps QPR firmly in the play-off places, just two points behind their opponents. A win would have lifted them to 14 points and within touching distance of top spot. The head-to-head record heavily favours West Brom, with nine wins to QPR's two from their past meetings.
