Queens Park Rangers held Wanderers to a 0-0 draw at Loftus Road on Saturday afternoon. Goalkeeper Jack Bonham made several key saves to preserve the point for the visitors.

Key Performances

Bonham was the standout performer, stopping a curling effort from Kwame Poku, a fingertip save on Harvey Vale’s strike and multiple attempts from Richard Kone. His best moments came in the first half, denying Kone from point‑blank range and saving a one‑on‑one with a strong right‑hand. Brunt, who replaced Luca Stephenson, made a solid defensive start, while the likes of Gaizka Larrazabal and Julien Stephan’s attack were contained.

Match Highlights

The match began with Wanderers creating early chances. Bonham was tested twice in quick succession, first against Poku and then Vale. Wanderers’ first potential opener came inside nine minutes when Larrazabal volleyed over Pierce Charles’ crossbar from a Chris Forino pass. Bonham again saved a dangerous strike from Vale and a left‑footed attempt from Kone.

Midway through the first half, Bonham denied Kone again with a spectacular save, followed by a right‑hand block that kept the forward out of the box. Towards the end of the half, a cross from Thierry Gale hit the back post and Larrazabal missed the opportunity.

In the second half, Brunt’s defensive work was highlighted when he blocked Kealey Adamson’s shot. The hosts had a penalty claim waved away after Koki Saito went down, but the referee ruled it a clear clearance. Wanderers made two substitutions: Iling‑Junior and Ryan Hardie replaced McAtee and Gale at the 58th minute. At the hour mark, Bonham again denied Vale’s header, and Kyliane Dong entered for Larrazabal at the 68th minute.

The final 25 minutes saw Wanderers’ Jimmy Dunne strike wide and Sam Dalby’s shot blocked. Late on, Bonham made a standing save to thwart Paul Smyth. The match ended 0‑0, giving Wanderers their first away point since promotion back to the second tier.
